Liam Campbell-Carpenter is an up-and-coming pianist from Indiana. He attends the Jacobs School of Music at Indiana University, writes and arranges music, and leads the jazz fusion/funk band Intrepid Cat. Liam served as the accompanist at the Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Fort Wayne for 2.5 years.
On May 4th, 2024, Liam released his debut EP, Tales of an Intergalactic Traveler, on all streaming services.
Liam graduated from North Side High School in Fort Wayne as the valedictorian of the Class of 2024. Throughout high school, he was a 16-time solo award winner at local and regional jazz festivals and a four-time Indiana All-State Jazz Ensemble and Jazz Combo member. Additionally, he attended Amp Lab at Electric Works, an innovative, project-based, real-life-oriented educational institution, for two years. Amp Lab challenges students to work with community partners to tackle real-world problems, learn the concepts of entrepreneurship, and pursue their passions. At Amp Lab, Liam spent considerable time in the state-of-the-art recording studio, furthering his musical endeavors. Tales of an Intergalactic Traveler and Intrepid Cat’s debut EP were recorded, mixed, and mastered at Amp Lab.
