About

Liam Campbell-Carpenter is an up-and-coming pianist from Fort Wayne, Indiana. He attends the Jacobs School of Music at Indiana University, writes and arranges music, and leads the indie funk band, Intrepid Cat. Liam has played at many venues and festivals, including the A2 Jazz Festival, Indy Jazz Fest, Celestial Fest, Solfest, Embassy Theatre, Winspear Opera House, Merrimans’ Playhouse, Clyde Theater, IU Auditorium, Lucille’s Jazz Lounge, The Palladium, and the Jazz Kitchen. He has shared the stage with top-notch musicians and bands, such as John Clayton, Jeff Hamilton, April Varner, Jack Helsley, Biana Pinchuk, Sun.Dyle, and Willie Bays. Liam is sought-after in the Midwest for his virtuosity, musicality, and versatility. While he specializes in forms of Black American Music (BAM), including jazz, funk, and soul, Liam also has extensive experience playing Afro-Cuban, pop, and indie folk music.
